Short Movie Festival Youth In Action

Youth Festival cofinanced from Council of Europe

This project runs in the framework of the “All Different, All Equal” European Youth Campaign for Diversity, Human Rights and Participation.

The SHORT MOVIE FESTIVAL YOUTH IN ACTION wants to realise a festival of short movies completely ideated and realised from young people between 18-35 years old about youth problems explained in the 3 categories below.
Movies will be prepared not only from participants at festival but also from interested groups not initially partners.
Using the movies young people will:
- present themselves
- show their view of thinking and approaching to the community
- explain how they intend to realise a real European integration

Movies should be realised in the following 3 categories:
1. Youth Social Exclusion
2. The rights of a young European citizen
3. Interculturality and Peace.
Each group will prepare at least one short movie (with a time limit of 30 minutes).

Aims of the project:
- to create a platform for young, amateur and professional movie makers to show their work to the public and get the opportunity to get into contact with fellow short film producers and distributors, journalists and successful directors;
- to motivate movie makers to create a new perspective on European issues;
- to promote the creative look into the topics mentioned;
- to mobilize the ambitious and creative people to contribute their points of view to the discussion on the issues touched on by the categories;
- to promote movies and movie makers after the festival;
- to promote participation of young people in the formulation and implementation of youth policies and European citizenship in youth work;
- to promote young women‘s participation;
- to fight social exclusion.
