ESCP - Educational strategies and counselling interventions for the parents of children and teenagers with difficulties: good practices

A successful children education needs families’ support and the parents must know some education and counselling principles in order to sustain their children.
The counselling services have the mission of helping and also have to support approaches both of them parents and teachers, finally aiming children’s benefice.
This project proposes a new methodology for counselling parents having difficult children with the view to improve the education and counselling modalities by innovative practices concerning the methods, contents and results.
The transfer of innovative parents’ education and counselling practices and creatively integrating them into practitioners’ activity promote the European dimension in this field.
The beneficiaries of this approach in education and counselling are the community and society that need creative and responsible people, able to face new situations, in the contemporary world.
This learning partnership is a challenge for enriching counsellors’ experience from interacting with European colleagues, developing the possibilities of establishing contacts and building up professional friendships and experiencing innovative strategies and interventions in the case of parents having children and teenagers with difficulties.
Also, represents an opportunity to see the interaction between various state bodies in the fields of education, training, counselling and to communicate with staff, counsellors and students.

The objectives aimed by the partner organisations are:
To synchronize the activity of different institutions and European associations who develop actions in the field of education, guidance and counselling, in order to build a common culture about parental function and also, to develop, their capacity to work together into a network;
To exchange between partners good practices regarding the educational and social interventions made for training and supporting the education task of parents which have got children and teenagers at risk;
To identify and propose theoretical models and educational strategies aimed to sustain counselling practices of the professionals;
To elaborate a guide related to the family strategies concerning counselling of the children and teenagers in difficulty and disseminate this guide throughout every national network;
To provide to practitioners the opportunity for developing group animation skills, teamwork and reinforce their skills of counselling the parents of the children at risk
To convince the parents in becoming real partners with the educational system by participating at the meetings proposed within this programme and to ensure the necessary support for the social, personal and emotional needs of parents having children with difficulties;
To create a virtual community by networking partners institutions an e-forum for ensure a good communication between project’s partners.
