To encourage the participation of young people to European projects and to the growth of Basilicata

With the project "Tra i banchi con l'Europa" (Between the benches with Europe) the Basilicata Region, in collaboration with the Direct Europe relay and the Scholastic Regional Office, wants to bring in a fun, the regional school to the themes of the European Union, strengthen the sense of belonging and favour the democratic participation, of students and teachers, at the development and implementation processes of Europe.
The project began with the creation of the DVD "The Adventures of Mr. POR" provides the organization of training days directed to teachers and a moment of deepening in classroom in the next May 9, the day of the European Feast.
It will be concluded with a further DVD animated drawings that tell the history of the European Union in parallel with that of Basilicata.
Then the project envisages 4 phases:
- Launch Event (14 March)
- Training teachers (until April 30)
- Day only on (May 9)
- DVD animated to be distributed in schools (by the end of September)
