Video competition

" PRO YOUTH " project (Promoting Youth Employment) submitted a call for the production of videos (interviews, testimonies, short films , etc..) aimed at raising awareness on issues concerning youth employment.

The aim of the project is to place the youth at the centre of a dialogue with the institutions.

Videos in a digital format should last from 1 to 5 minutes and include English subtitles if they are submitted in another language.

They should be on the following topics :
- The needs of the youth
- The interests of young people
- Youth and Entrepreneurship
- What young people want from the institutions (European, national, local)
- What schools and universities can do to foster youth employment

The jury consists of experts from the educational field, from the business field as well a producer or journalist in the field of culture and entertainment who will select 3 finalists. Their videos will be uploaded on the project's website and presented to the representatives of the European Commission during the final conference in Rome on June 7, 2012

The 3 finalists will be invited at the awards ceremony in Rome. The winner will be awarded an iphone. The 2nd and 3rd placed winners will receive a certificate of merit.

The prerequisites are: young candidates, amateur or professional film makers that are not over the age of 35. It is possible to participate individually or as a group by presenting not more than 2 videos.

The jury reserves the right to disqualify any participant whose video is not in line with the subject matter, even if this could lead to no winners being selected. The material will not be returned. The videos are to be sent not later than 23 May 2012 :

All the material must be submitted in DVD format with an attached registration form that includes a disclaimer on behalf of all the people appearing in the video. In the first frame of the video, in addition to the title of the movie, there must be the logo and the title of the project to be addressed appropriately, and the following statements must be included:

Proyouth project intended not to use any copyrighted material for the publication or, if not possible, to indicate the copyright of the respective object.
