WHAT IS THE NEFELE PROJECT
The project aims to strengthen all kinds of artistic creation connected with the field of mental health seeking to:
- Broaden the cultural activities for the benefit of artists
- Enrich therapeutic procedures and combat stigma for the benefit of those with mental ill health and society as a whole.
NEFELE CORE CONCEPT
- Promoting the establishment of Festivals connecting Arts with Mental health in countries where there is no such activity and an enhancement of those already running Festivals
- Encouraging the participation of artists and the creation of new professional opportunities
- Promoting the participation of relevant local authorities and increasing the level of interest amongst communities.
OBJECTIVES
- Organization of a European pilot art festival focused on mental health in Athens, Greece
- Support to four local festivals organized by the project Partners in each of their countries
- Development of tools for the professional support of artists
- Networking and the promotion of the idea of art festivals focused on mental health in EU wide scale
